Happy 80th Birthday Franco Rossetti

Franco Rossetti was born on Ocotber 1, 1930 in Sienna, Tuscany, Italy. Franco started ou as an assistant director and then as a writer on “Duel of the Titans” in 1961 starring Steve Reeves and Gordon Scott. When the sword and sandal genre ended he moved right into writing Spaghetti westerns with “Django” starring Franco Nero and directed by Sergio Corbucci. The success of “Django” kept him busy writing “Texas Adio” (1966) again starring Nero, “Ringo and His Golden Pistol” (1966) with Mark Damon, “Little Rita of the West” (1967) with Terence Hill and Rita Pavone, “Viva Django” (1968) again with Hill and the “Unholy Four” (1970) with Leonard Mann, Peter Martell, George Eastman and Woody Strode. During this period he directed and wrote “The Dirty Outlaws” (1967) with Chip Corman. Franco also was billed under the pseudonym Fred Gardner. His last film was 1984's “Il lebbroso” a TV film. Today we celebrate Franco Rossetti's 80th birthday.
