Happy 75th Birthday Tony Renis


Elio Cesari was born in Milan, Lombardy, Italy on May 13, 1938. Known as Tony Renis he’s an Italian singer, songwriter and producer. His main activities in the world of cinema is that of an actor and one of the most interesting works was his the participation in the film “The Black Pirate” (1976) directed by Sergio Sollima where he played the part of Jose. In 1967 he also worked with Alessandro Blasetti in the making of the film “La ragazza del bersagliere“ where he played the part of Carletto.
 
In addition to the role of actor Tony Renis has worked as a musician, composer, and singer. He’s also composed and played in such films as “Soldati e caporali” (1965), “Ischia operazione amore” (1966), “Quando dico che ti amo” (1966), “Bye Bye Baby” (1988), and  the animated film by Frederik Du Chau  “The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot” (1998).
 
Renis appeared as an actor in the Euro-western “For a Few Dollars Less” (1966) as Little Joe and he composed the musical score for “The Brothers Blue” (1972).
 
Today we celebrate Tony Renis’s 75th birthday.
