Happy 75th Birthday Sergio Salvati


Sergio Salvati was born in Rome, Italy on June 16, 1934. Salvati is a cinematographer who is famous for his collaborations with Italian horror film director Lucio Fulci. Such films include “Seven Notes In Black” (1977), “Zombi 2” (1979) and “The Beyond” (1981).
 
He made his debut in the film world in 1960 as an assistant cameraman for the film “The Dam on the Yellow River”, directed by Renzo Merusi. After working on “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “Medea” as a cameraman, he made his debut as a cinematographer in 1971 with “Desert Fire”. Salvati then became famous for his collaborations with Italian horror film director Lucio Fulci. He has also worked with film producer Charles Band on several movies, for example, “Crawlspace” (1986), “Ghoulies II” (1987), “Puppet Master” (1989) and “Spellcaster” (1992).
 
Sergio was the cinematographer on three Euro-westerns: “Four of the Apocalypse” (1974), “Silver Saddle” (1977) and “Thunder Warrior” (1983)
