RIP Julie Harris

Oscar-winning British costume designer Julie Harris has died at the age of 94. She died Saturday May 30th at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London after a brief illness from a chest infection. Born Diana Julie Harris in London on March 21, 1921, designed costumes for the 1967 film Casino Royale starring David Niven and Peter Sellers, Goodbye Mr Chips (1969), Dracula (1979) starring Laurence Olivier and for the Muppets in The Great Muppet Caper (1981).

On The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw (1958), a producer asked Harris to raise Jayne Mansfield’s plunging neckline to a more modest level. But when the star saw that the bar-room girls in the film had more revealing costumes, she objected strongly. Harris had to adjust all their necklines to be higher than Mansfield’s.

Spaghetti Western Locations

We continue our search for locations for “A Few Dollars for Django”. After Norton has been killed Regan tries to protect Sally and the two go higher into the rocks. Bransbury and his men close in and decide to blow them out with dynamite. When Bransbury throws the dynamite Regan shoots and hits it blowing it up in midair. This results in Bransbury being blinded. The Judge Holden and his posse arrive and puts Bransbury under arrest and reads a proclamation from the governor declaring the farmers have a right to fence their lands but must allow ranchers to graze their cattle on farmers land when required to sustain their herds.
FINE

The closing scenes are filmed in Manzanares el Real which is quickly being surrounded by new homes.
